Most modern Paso Finos are a mix of Puerto Rican and Colombian Pasos. The Colombian Pasos are taller, stronger and have a more "pistol like" footfall. They also tend to have lots of "brio" which is a term for Paso Finos that have lots of spirit and heart. Pure Colombians also have stouter conformation, a long, straight topline and lots of muscle.
