Drum horses are a mixture of a Gypsy Vanner and a Shire or Clydesdale. Drum horses are bred selectively to ensure athleticism for riding and driving. They can have any base color, be solid or patterned and should have heavy feathering and long thick hair. Gypsy Vanners can carry the Silver dapple gene, so it is possible for it to be present in a drum horse.
