The German Sport Horse, also known as Deutsches Sportpferd, is a modern warmblood breed developed in Germany for equestrian sports. It's a relatively new breed, officially founded in 2003, and is the result of combining various German warmblood breeds. The goal was to create a versatile horse with exceptional athleticism and a refined, sensitive temperament, suitable for dressage, show jumping, and eventing. Commonly come in solid colors such as bay, black, brown, chestnut, and gray. While these are the most frequent, other colors and patterns can also occur, including dun and cream-dilutes. White markings are also common.
