The Warlander is a newer breed, developed in Australia by Karen Maree Kaye. Her goal was an elegant yet hardy and versatile horse. Breeding a Fresian Stallion to an Andalusian Mare was the beginning of the breed. Standing 15-17 hh, the Warlander excells in Dressage and Driving competition. Usual colors are bay or black, with buckskin and grey occasionally.
