Years Experience: 10 years in the hobby, just a couple years judging experience. Over 10 years experience with real horses!

Prefer To Judge: (such as OF, AR, etc.) I’ll judge pretty much anything! OF, AR, CM in breed, color, workmanship, collectibility! Only aspect of the hobby I’m not super familiar with is china so less comfortable with that! My favorite division to judge is customs.

Full Name: Kim C. (aka 'appaloosa')

Years Experience:
I've been involved in the hobby for ages! Have been a successful live-show exhibitor, competitor and judge. Have judged live events all across Canada & in the USA (NAMHSA, Equilocity). Have been involved with online photo showing for almost as long, and established the Model Horse Club of Canada online photo show series. I was also the NAMHSA Rep for my region (Region 11) from 2008-2010 (would love to judge a show in Europe one day! 🙂)

Divisions I Judge:

  • Breed/Halter only
Artist Resin & CM's, including artistry (workmanship) classes (these are my favourite classes to judge🙂).
OF Plastic/rubber/other makes, (Breyer, Stone Horses, collectA, etc)

I make frequent use of breed reference material (books, breed association material or official websites, rulebooks, etc) if necessary.

  • I do not judge collectability classes, as I am unfamiliar with the judging criteria and/or guidelines for these divisions.
  • Although I've shown and competed in performance classes, I no longer judge performance, as I have not kept up-to-date on all the latest performance rules and trends.

References: Host & judge of the annual MAPLE LEAF INTERNATIONAL, Horses Colour My World !!,
Fall Fiesta!, & Christmas Holiday Fun Show

Availability: I'm very flexible with my time, and ready to assist and/or judge your online show at your convenience.

Email/Contact: send me a private msg via this forum, or alternatively: appaloosy @ yahoo. CA

Full Name: Kitty Salz

Years Experience: 21 years in the hobby, 17 years showing, 4 years hosting my own Liveshow now. I'm also in the planning committee for Europe's largest Liveshow Modellpferdefest Germany.

Prefer To Judge: AR, AR Mini, Schleich / Rubber, Medallions

Any References?

My own Liveshow, Ponypallooza Live, where I usually judge the Rubber Division and Custom Classes, as well as Workmanship for solid colors.

German Liveshows Niederrhein (since 2017, several divisions), Rheine (2015 - 2019, Rubber Division and Fun Classes), Xanten (various divisions, Workmanship AR)

I do not judge Collectability as this isn't something we judge in Germany and I'm not very familiar with the system. Performance and China also are not my strong suit.

Availability: I work from home with a very flexible schedule and usually spend most of my day in front of the computer, anyway, so I'm extremely flexible and available on short notice, usually.

Email/Contact: The fastest way to reach me would be via email angelicmisskitty@gmail.com or through this forum, or via Instagram @resinhorseeditions

Any References? Jackie Rossi, Eleanor Harvey, Erin Corbett, Liz Cory, Jamie Rott, Liz LaRose, Karen Beeson, etc....

Availability: Pretty flexible and I judge fast

Full Name: Amanda Reed

Years Experience: 21+ years in the hobby, 18 years live showing, 9 years live show judging, 7 years hosting live shows (aside from this year and last year). I have dabbled here and there in photo showing and judging since the early 2010's or so. I was very involved with the MHU series of photo shows for a few years. I would like to host more photo shows myself, just need to get class lists prepared!

Prefer To Judge: Breyer collectibility is my absolute favorite and I definitely have the most knowledge in it over everything else. I do also judge Breed in any category at times, however I know that I am not as well versed in the minute details of this as some folks are. I'd be ok with judging collectibility for chinas in this case since not being live it's easier to look things up if I come across things I don't know (I have shadowed this division before but have not judged it on my own). Stones would be ok for straight collectibility but I don't know very much about workmanship so I would not be good with the hybrid mix of these standards that some people use for judging Stones on non-breed merit. Workmanship and performance are the two areas I know the least about, I really only judge those for extremely basic novice divisions where I wouldn't be critiquing on finer details of things.

Any References?

I have held my own live show, New England Novice Extravaganza, co-hosted the Region 10 Championships (TRXC) in 2017, and have worked for many hosts in New England and NY over the 9 years I have judged for.

Availability: At the moment, I am still not working, but I hope to change that this year as things in the world improve. I do have other projects and responsibilities, but I'm probably a bit more available than the average person as I do not have kids or pets either. I do appreciate a good amount of prior notice on judging gigs so that I can make sure I will have time available.

Should the feature be added in the future, I greatly appreciate the ability to split large classes as that makes it less overwhelming (and more fair to entrants IMO!), but overall I do tend to judge pretty quickly within the times I have available.

I have judged live shows and photo shows.

Prefer To Judge: (such as OF, AR, etc.) OF Breyer and Stone Breed and Collectibility; Customs Breed and Workmanship; AR Workmanship; China Breed, but No China Collectibility; No Performance

Full Name: Alexa Majoros

Years Experience: 18+ years working with real horses, around 10+ years collecting. I only started showing about two years ago, but I really enjoy it. With my real-horse experiences of breeds and anatomy I would love to try judging. I am not your veteran judge, but if I never start, I will never gain experience... So I thought I put myself out here, maybe I can help someone out regardless :)

Prefer To Judge: As I was a rubber mini collector for long-long years, I am good with these OFs (Schleich mainly, but CollectA, Papo, Safari etc too). But again, I am now showing customs and AR too, I would be open for a new challenge.

Any References?: Not yet. I am currently a judge at Ponies in Bloom MHPS, this being my first big show. Other than this, I just helped here and there.

Availability: I am pretty much always available during the day. However please note that I am in Europe, so it can be that it is nighttime here :)

Email/Contact: alexa.majoros@yahoo.de / gwr_horses on instagram (not posting actively, mainly using for contact and shows) / mobile number for whatsapp/telegram upon request available / facebook under the same name :)

Full Name: Jake Heaps

Years Experience: 4 years judging small photo shows here and there. I just held my first photo show as a show holder back in May! But I stay very up to date on breed conformation, and color genetics. I've done several online judging clinic classes for real horses so I have the background knowledge of what to look for from the real horse world! I'm also a full time finishwork, and original resin artist, so I study color and biomechanics daily for my work.

Prefer To Judge: (such as OF, AR, etc.) I love to judge custom/AR/coldpainted China Halter and Workmanship! As stated above, I am a painter and sculptor myself, so I know what to look for when I'm judging finishwork quality, and anatomy. I also have a special love for minis! So micro and stablemate specific classes are the most in my wheelhouse.

Any References?: My last show I judged along side Brie Cundiff and Elizabeth Halperin, so you can contact either of them through Instagram or Facebook to ask about my quality as a judge.

Availability: Anytime! I work from home, so I am literally always available.

Full Name: Erin Logan

Years Experience: have collected models for almost 30 years, have shown off and on in live and photo shows for 15ish years

Prefer To Judge: (such as OF, AR, etc.) Make doesn't matter, but I prefer to judge breed halter, color, workmanship, and collectibility rather than performance. Would love to judge any "other animal" classes as well, if they come up.

Any References? Not specifically, but I did show and judge with IMEHA for many years before it shut down. When I was still live showing, I had a good number of NAN qualifiers and Top Tens - I believe I know what to look for a show-quality horse.

I am also a flatwork artist, aspiring to improve my model horse painting, so I hope that would help inform my judging of workmanship. My art and customizing interest has given me a good foundation in ABCs and biomechanics, though I will not claim to be an expert. I am a stickler for correct color genetics - possible/allowable colors in a breed and correct/believable execution of a color in workmanship.

I consider myself better-than-average when it comes to Breyer and Hartland collectibility, not as knowledgeable about Stone or China collectibility, though I would definitely give them a shot if needed.

Availability: I can do actual judging evenings (Pacific Standard time) and weekends, however I am available by email during the day. I should be able to acknowledge requests within a couple of hours.

Email/Contact: crazycatmaddie@gmail.com I am also on Model Horse Blab as Red Wolf.

Full Name: Michelle Eisley

Years Experience: 20 + years

Prefer To Judge: AR/CM/China/Performance but am open to all divisions

Any References? 2011 NAN Judge (performance), active live show judge in WA and former judge in AZ, Showed horses in 4-H and did collegiate classes. Volunteer as a course judge/steward/assistant at driving events in WA.

Availability: My weekends are Wed/Thurs, I'm an AM news editor so my work times are usually between 3 am - 1pm Seattle, WA / PST, and depending on time of year I teach (classic busy body). However my evenings are free, and I have time to Kill between edits and classes! I feel as a judge it's important to stick to the ABC's of judging, and to not be afraid to look something up. We can't possibly know everything. I'm an artist also so when I judge customs and artist resins I understand the required workmanship it takes to achieve technical approaches and effects and to do them.

My full name is Adah Richards. I am a customizer/photo shower/judge. I have judged on OMHPS many times in the past (including OMHPS 1st Birthday Show by OMHPS, 2022 Autumn Thunder Draft Specialty by Zialander, 2022 Spotted Dreams Photo Show by myself, Fall Fling by HunterHillsStables). I have also hosted my own show and judged it here on OMHPS (2022 Spotted Dreams Photo Show by SpottedDreamsStudio). I have had photo showing experience before OMHPS. Currently I am unable to Live show due to various reasons. I am experienced in the real horse world, and I have quite a bit of knowledge in all breeds and types. I am currently training under the CEO of the International Appaloosa Association. I'm not afraid of doing research before I judge a class. My favorite reading is in horse encyclopedias and breed books, learning and memorizing different information on rare or unusual breeds. I enjoy studying horse anatomy and general hippology. I have experience in riding as well. I believe that everyone should learn while showing, so I leave judge's notes with positive encouragement or facts on the breed of their choice. I do not DQ anyone without good cause, but when I have to, I give polite supporting reasoning in the comments. Feel free to sift through shows I've judged to get a feel for my style, or shoot me a PM and I'll send you some direct links. :)

My schedule is very flexible, I usually can judge throughout the day. I work fast, but I don't compromise fairness for speed. I will split a class if I feel it's too big, but I will do so fairly and evenly, without unnecessary cause. :)

I will do all divisions, but I specialize in halter and workmanship. I prefer not to do collectability, but will do so in a pinch. I have done performance in the past as well.
You can email me at: SpottedDreamsStudio@mail.com (just mail, not gmail). You could also send me a Private Message on OMHPS or try my other email, AdahMJoy@outlook.com . I don't bite and I'm always happy to answer questions. :)

Thank you!
I really enjoy my hobby, and I’m looking forward to giving back to it. Thanks for taking the time to read my application! :)
